Back in 2004 I used a Great Planes Yardstik to take some aerial photos at the SWAMPSRC RC field where I am a member. I used a camera which has been modified so it can be controlled by a standard RC receiver. I have it attached to the channel on the receiver normally used to control landing gear on larger RC planes. Everytime I toggle the landing gear switch on my transmitter the camera takes a photo. Generally I get the plane up a few hundred feet and them cut the motor and let it glide. During the glide I take as many photos as I can. This way you avoid the possible image degradation from the vibration of the plane caused by the motor running.
